At a meeting on Oct. 13, the organizers announced that 46 ideas had advanced to the presentation round. To add excitement to the competition and boost finalists' chances, the organizers launched the online voting platform.
From now until Nov. 24, readers can vote for their favorite ideas on the competition’s landing page. The teams with the highest votes will receive bonus points toward the final score. Only votes from the Vietnamese version of the page will be counted.
The Data For Life 2024 competition, which began on July 19, received submissions from 376 teams, including 4 international teams from Australia, Singapore, South Korea, and Indonesia. Compared to 2023, the number of teams and participants has increased significantly, by over 90% and nearly 72%, respectively.
Data For Life 2024, co-organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology and VnExpress, aims to identify practical solutions that foster digital transformation across three core pillars: digital government, digital society, and digital economy.
This year's competition offers a total prize pool of VND390 million (US$15,380), with the first prize valued at $11,800, the second prize at $2,000, the third prize at $1,185, and a consolation prize of $395. In addition to cash awards, the top three winners will receive support for product deployment from the Innovation Center at the School of Information and Communications Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
