The flat top is back ... although this time, the trend is hot with Taiwan's canine set.
Pet groomer Mo Ming-feng is the man behind the hair-do that has dogs grabbing attention on the streets.
He first created the look for a client who wanted something special for his pooch.
SOUNDBITE: Pet groomer, Mo Ming-Feng, saying (Mandarin):
"We normally give haircuts to dogs that appear to be square and then round them off. We took a picture after trimming it into the square shape and showed it to the customer, and he was very pleased. That's how we came up with it."
Mo says the hairstyle isn't universal -- a dog's size, face shape and hair type have to be considered.
SOUNDBITE: Pet groomer, Mo Ming-Feng, saying (Mandarin):
"Generally speaking, dog types that are suitable for this style are mostly Poodles, Shih-Tzu and Maltese. The dogs need to have enough hair so that you can try styles like this."
Don't feel bad if the cube or circular cut don't work for your pup. After all trends come and go ... and the perfect 'do is bound to come around for your dog.
