The discovery of debris on the shores of Reunion Island that may have come from missing flight MH370 has touched many of its residents. About 100 attended a service at the Combuston Catholic Church in St Andre to pray for the 239 passengers and crew whose fate remains a mystery. The Malaysia Airlines jet vanished in March last year.
The debris, thought to be part of a wing from a Boeing 777, arrived at a specialist military laboratory near the French city of Toulouse on Saturday. The laboratory specialises in analysing aviation wreckage. French investigators aren't expected to start looking at the wreckage until Wednesday. A fragment of luggage which also washed up on Reunion Island is being sent to a police unit outside Paris for DNA tests.
