Finding a balance
Jack Ma: In Europe, there's no big internet companies. Any big internet companies in Europe? No. Why? They worry too much. "Oh, ...(13)... Oh, ...(14)...". Before they do that, they just bring all the ...(15)... inside.
Justin Trudeau: I don't know. Here in Canada, we worry a lot about privacy and security too, and we got some pretty good internet companies behind us, so there's a ...(16)..., and perhaps that's what we need to find.
Jack Ma: The balance is I think we should worry about privacy, security, because they're the two most difficult things that we have to go ...(17)... But you never ...(18)... the problem and then go do it. If you worry, you don't know how to do it. You ...(19)... take these things, solve the problems step by step.
Why do we succeed?
Justin Trudeau: When you think about what you actually learn from your ...(20)... versus your ...(21)... When you succeed, you don't ask why you succeeded. You know why you succeeded - because you're ...(22)..., cause you're amazing, cause you did great and you just keep going.
If you don't succeed, if you make a mistake, if you fail, you don't say "Oh, it's because I'm ...(23)...". You say "Oh, it's because I didn't prepare right" or "I didn't have the right advice" or "I didn't choose the right ...(24)..." or "The product wasn't quite right".
You look for all sorts of reasons why you failed, and we don't spend enough time looking for reason why we succeed. That's sort of human nature.
